India’s 45-station network, 92.7 BIG FM, is planning to salute the spirit of womanhood with a special show called ‘Ladies First’ to mark International Women’s Day on Saturday.

The station will put women achievers from different walks of life in the spotlight and has recruited men from similar fields of expertise to talk about and interview them.

Famous lyricist Irshad Kamil will interview award-winning Hindi film dialogue, screenplay, story writer and lyricist Anvita Dutt.

Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh will talk to five-time World Boxing Champion Mary Kom.

The network will also encourage listeners to nominate and share success stories of incredible women from their neighborhood and showcase them on air.

In addition, BIG FM is also paying tribute to 100 glorious years of Indian Cinema by highlighting women’s lead roles in iconic Hindi films like Mother India, Madhumati, Seeta aur Geeta, Mrityudand, Damini, Lajj and Rudali.
