Indonesian station goes Jamaican

In an apparant first for Indonesia, Jakarta’s Mustang 88FM has launched a Jamaican music show on the city airwaves.

‘Jamaican Sound’ broadcasts every Wednesday 9-11 PM west Indonesia time.

It is hosted by senior indonesian reggae musician, Ras Muhammad.

He is well known in Indonesia and has just been voted the local ambassador of reggae music.

Our correspondent in Jakarta says after the show took off, the DJ is becoming the choice of young Jakarta residents to host their parties.
