Indian station searches for ‘City Chef’

India’s Radio City 91.1 FM kick-started ‘City Chef’, a month-long search for the best household chef amongst its listeners this week.

The 20-station network is running this contest in the cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Vadodara & Vizag.

The station calls it a platform to recognise and celebrate the outstanding cooking talent of its listeners.

The campaign will run until September 7, and listeners who wish to participate can register the name of their society.

Each weekend, a team of Radio City RJs along with a renowned chef will visit the society and select the top 5 dishes prepared by the contestants.

The final 3 winners will battle it out for the title of ‘City Chef’ every week.

Various on-the-spot contests and games are also planned for the audience.

Listeners can also log on a special microsite   for registration, where they will also find exciting recipes and cooking tips.
