Hot FM jocks get Guinness World Record confirmation

The PM drive team from Singapore’s Hot FM91.3 have received official confirmation that they achieved a Guinness world record earlier this year.

In March, Gerald Koh (better known as Boy Thunder) and Adam Piperdy completed a gruelling 77 hours and 11 minutes live on air.

The duo hosted a live show from a glass container at Plaza Singapura shopping mall.

Last week, they received confirmation that they had achieved the world record for the Longest Marathon for a Radio Music Show DJ – Team.

The duo beat the previous record of 74 hrs 03 mins, set by two presenters from the UK a couple of months earlier.

The attempt was witnessed by 20 people, including independent professionals and personnel from the International Sport Stacking Federation.

Following the confirmation, Boy Thunder said:  “We thought it was just a joke, as the attempt was made about four months ago and during the attempt, we heard that there was other stations overseas attempting to break the same record.  It is definitely great news but what is more important is the stronger bond between Adam, Josh and I, and the friendships forged with the fans.”

BT, Adam and a third host – Josh –  host HotFM’s evening show from 4pm to 7.30pm every weekday.

In September, Hot FM morning show colleagues Shan and Cheryl will attempt another challenge, by attending 48 parties in 48 hours.
