Fox 91.4 picks up fans in Sri Lanka

Launched in December 2013 by Asset Radio Broadcasting (Pvt) Limited, Fox 91.4 FM has been picking up listeners as well as media attention in Sri Lanka.

The station’s line-up includes veteran radio personality Jimmy Deen, who has more than 21 years of broadcasting experience and hosts ‘Fox Mornings’ from 6am t0 10 am weekdays.

“We do not stick to one genre of music but play everything from the memories of the 90s to the hits of today. Even our presenters are a mixture of the veterans and the rookies, each with a distinct personality. The shows are designed to suit a plethora of tastes and ever-evolving fan base that has grown in leaps,” Deen told The Sunday Times.

Deen is followed by Ray Ryley with ‘I PIX’ a midday open-request show. Tracy Chase hosts the afternoon show ‘The Fix’, Steffen Blaze hosts the evening drive show ‘Full Throttle’ and Jay EZ rounds up the line up with ‘Fox After Dark ‘.

Speaking to Financial Times, Asset Radio Broadcasting’s CEO Asanga Jayasooriya said: “We’re very proud of Fox 91.4 and the important contributions it will make to radio in Sri Lanka. We are confident that it will revolutionise the industry – both in the way radio is broadcast as well as experienced.”
