DZBB claims number one spot in Mega Manila

Nielsen’s latest Mega Manila radio research report has ranked DZBB as the number one AM station in the region.

Mega Manila is an area that covers the Philippines capital and some of its suburbs.

According to Manila Standard Today, GMA group’s flagship station had the highest weekly (Monday-Sunday) audience share at 28.3 percent during the April survey.

It was followed by DZMM with 27.8 percent and DWWW with 22.5 percent.

The station was also a clear leader in weekday (Monday to Friday) listenership with 29.4 percent share of the audience compared to DZMM’s 27.5 percent and DWWW’s 20.4 percent.

Its listening levels were highest in the morning for all shows broadcast from 4 am to 12 noon.

These include ‘Umaga Na Balita N’, which airs from 4 am to 5 am, ‘Dobol B Balitang Balita’ from 5am to 6 am, ‘Saksi Sa Dobol B’ from 6 am to 10 am, ‘Dobol A sa Dobol B’ from 10 am to 11 am and ‘Easy Easy Lang’ from 11 am to 12 noon.

DZBB News Operations Manager Norilyn Temblor credited its top spot to the efforts of everyone in the station to gain and keep the trust and respect of listeners.

Expressing the network’s gratitude to listeners, GMA Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon told Manila Standard Today: “DZBB’s performance further encourages us to continue our never-ending efforts at providing our countrymen excellent world-class broadcasting in radio, television and all other platforms.”
