The Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) Digital Radio Implementation and Rollout Workshop, will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 26 and 27.

The event is jointly organised by DRM with the Asia-pacific Broadcasting Union and the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development.

The workshop will provide broadcasters, regulators, policy makers, governments and other stakeholders with a clear understanding of the DRM digital radio broadcasting services, its technology and features, planning methods, step-by-step implementation

In addition, says DRM, the two-day conference will provide insight as well as case studies from various regions onvarious solutions and strategies available for preparing an analogue-to-digital transition, including planning a full-scale countrywide rollout.

Presentations during the event include “Introduction to DRM and Industry Update”; “DRM Transmitters – features, advantages and choosing the right one”;  “DRM Receivers: Updates, Challenges and Opportunities”; “Planning Your Transition From Analogue to Digital Radio;” and “DRM Digital Radio Implementation (AM and FM)”.
