Delhi to host this year’s India Radio Forum

Based on inputs from the Indian radio fraternity, India Radio Forum (IRF) 2014 is all set to take place in Delhi on May 30 at India Habitat Centre.

IRF is a one day forum that gathers key radio and media players to discuss the latest industry developments.  It also offers networking opportunities for all industry players.

An annual Excellence in Radio Awards (ERA) show is also part of the event, rewarding the best programming, marketing & creative talent.

Last year, Radio Mirchi was a big winner with 13 awards. Big FM and Red FM tied up for the second spot with nine awards each.

In its ninth edition, IRF hopes for a better attendance this year as all eyes focus on the upcoming PhaseIII of licensing of private FM in India.

Partners In Media Asia Pte Ltd, Special Projects Director Rajika Mittra told Asia Radio Today: “Since its inception in 2006, the awards were being held in Mumbai and many organisations and agencies from Delhi had never participated. Having a different city venue brings with it a host of new opportunities and excitement in terms of the audience, specialist speakers and clients that are based in New Delhi”.

The theme of this year’s edition, along with the speakers and various sessions will be announced soon.

Asia Radio Today is media partner for IRF and will be bringing you live coverage in the lead-up and on the day.
