20-year old Annablle Tay was declared the winner of Chinese New Year (CNY) Superstar contest organised by MediaCorp’s Chinese stations in Singapore.

As a part of the competition, Y.E.S.93.3 FM, Love 97.2 FM and Capital 95.8 FM had invited contestants to perform hits from their CNY album and submit them online.

15 finalists were chosen to perform live at the Anchorpoint Mall on Sunday while competing for a grand cash prize of $3888.

The contest was followed by an autograph session for the CNY album released by the three stations.

The session include DJs Pan Jia Biao, Bukoh Mary, Huang Shu Jun from Capital 95.8FM; Zeng Xiao Ying, Zhou Chong Qing, Violet Fenying from Love 97.2FM and Xie Jia Fa, Lin Pei Fen and Zhong Kun Hua from Y.E.S. 93.3FM.

CNY Superstar Annabelle Tay said: “I joined the competition because my parents listen to Y.E.S. 93.3FM, Love 97.2FM and Capital 95.8FM and I thought it would be fun to participate. I am very touched and happy to have won the competition.”
