Singapore’s classical music station Symphony 92.4FM has begun a new bilingual show featuring some of the greatest English and Chinese classical music.

The new show 古典，流行, which airs every Sunday at 5pm, is hosted by several popular Chinese radio personalities from MediaCorp’s portfolio of stations.

They include  Y.E.S. 93.3FM’s Lin Peifen and Love 97.2FM’s Hong Shengan & Cai Lilian.

Speaking about the new programme, Ms Wang Ya-Hui, Vice President of Symphony 92.4FM said: “Music is a universal language. Through this programme, we hope to bring closeness to our listeners. Also with popular Chinese DJ’s like Peifen, Lilian and Shengan, they can offer insights to classical music from another angle, and that is very refreshing for Symphony 92.4FM.”

Presenter Lin Peifen said: “It is familiar territory as I’ve always enjoyed classical music and having taken piano lessons since young, this is a great opportunity for me to share my favourite pieces with listeners.”
