Big FM launches devotional show in Kolkata and Asansol

India’s Reliance group owned Big FM has launched a devotional show called ‘Sokoli Tomari Iccha’ for its listeners in Kolkata and Asansol.

The show revolves around inspirational stories of Hindu saint Bamakhepa, who has a big following in this region.

The station has repoed in popular actor and singer Arindam Ganguly as the show host.

Ganguly is already popular for playing the character of the saint in a religious show on television.

It is targeted at 35+ age group and airs daily in the morning from 5 am to 7 am.

Aiming to help listeners deal with the stress in their lives, Ganguly juxtaposes motivational stories of the saint with their daily struggles and plays Bengali devotional music.

A spokesperson from the station said: “Our bouquet of shows is a reflection of our distinctive programming concepts. With Sokoli TOmari Iccha, we hope to reach out to listeners who are in search of some soothing compositions and inspiring stories that will help them go about their lives with ease.”
