Big FM launches comedy show

Indian network 92.7 Big FM has roped in comedians Krushna, Sugandha and Saloni for a comedy show called ‘Big Garmi Ki Chhutti!’ (Beat the Heat) to coincide with the ongoing summer holidays.

Krushna and Sugandha Mishra will be on air every day between 6  and 7 pm across the network’s Hindi speaking markets.

Saloni will lead a campaign across all the network stations to promote a social message to save water, which will encourage participation from school children.

She will join hands with kids to create awareness of water wastage and ways to stop it through humour, while volunteering to fix leaking taps and pipes as they move around the city with a plumber.

Paritosh Painter, National Creative Director, Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, said: “Summer is the time to go out and have fun, but the heat is unbearable. To make it enjoyable, we have brought together some popular artists to provide our listeners with comic relief.”

Krushna said: “Fun and humour is an essential part of any summer vacation and the campaign allows me to entertain listeners and keep the mood light and happy.”
