Beijing radio station to broadcast live from IRF

Beijing’s online Tangsuan Radio is one of 30 stations set to broadcast live from next month’s International Radio Festival.

Stations from Brazil, Turkey, Morocco, the US and the UK will also be presenting shows direct from the event.

Taking place in Zurich from September 4-8, the IRF promises to showcase some of the best radio programmes from around the world.

Organisers say the B2B Forum is a “must attend” for all those with a vested interest in music radio, offering a unique platform to break new artists, sell music, and influence consumer habits.

Dozens of respected industry names are due to speak including: Joe D’Angelo (HD Radio/ iBiquty), Paul Noble (Pop-Up Radio), Victor Callabero (LDR Interactive), Christian Jones (Radio Express) and radio futurologist James Cridland.

Another highlight will be the HD Radio day, which will promote the new digital radio technology.

“The IRF is excited to be presenting its 4th edition, showcasing the best music radio formats from around the world and discussing the fast evolving radio industry,” said Darryl von Daniken, co-founder of the IRF.

“The IRF continues to attract both top radio professionals and the general public to “Listen to How the World Sounds” all on one channel!”
