Beethovenfest content offered to Asian broadcasters

Germany’s International Broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) is offering exclusive radio content to its international partners, to mark this year’s Beethovenfest Bonn.

The music festival opened on Thursday and runs until October 5.

DW, the event’s main media partner, will deliver concert recordings and radio shows to partner stations for rebroadcasting around the world.

Similar content is also being offered to partner TV stations,

DW will participate in a live stage programme in Bonn’s central market square on September 27.

The show will be followed by a broadcast of Beethoven’s sole opera, “Fidelio,” streamed from a performance across town in the Beethoven Hall.

The Orchestra Campus project, co-sponsored by Deutsche Welle,  is another festival highlight, where a youth orchestra from abroad is brought to Bonn for workshops and performances.

Turkey is the current partner country.
