Auckland’s Bollywood FM Station set for “Christmas for Kids Radiothon”

A team of presenters from Humm 106.2 FM – Auckland’s only Hindi FM radio station, is gearing up for a 48-hour marathon radio broadcast to bring joy to less fortunate kids.

Breakfast host  Vijay Verma, drive show host Dev Sachindra and evening show host Roopam Chowdhury will be on air for 48 hours nonstop from midday on Thursday, December 10 midday to midday on Saturday, December 12.

During this period, listeners are invited to drop by at any time at the station with gifts for the less fortunate kids.

Humm FM Director, Roshila Prasad believes: “Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. We have a platform to reach out to our listeners and do something worthy by involving the members of the community.”

Humm FM has partnered with Auckland City Mission who will be distributing these gifts to the needy kids.

City Missioner Dame Diane Robertson who has steered the organisation for 22 years, says:“The level of desperate need in New Zealand’s largest city remains as high as ever and it’s important to remember the vulnerable children.”
