Astro’s radio streaming service RAKU wins award

RAKU, Astro group Malaysia’s free radio and music streaming service, has been awarded the Malaysian Entrepreneurial Company of the Year award in the Digital Media (Music-on-Demand) category by Frost & Sullivan.

The Frost & Sullivan’s 12th Malaysia awards program recognises companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence and demonstrated outstanding performances in Malaysia.

In the Entrepreneurial Company of the Year award category, the Frost & Sullivan analysts independently evaluated two key factors; entrepreneurial innovation and customer impact.

RAKU, designed for Malaysians, allows users to select from multiple content catalogues, featuring content curated from the RAKU library.

Since its launch in April 2015, the service has been downloaded 250,000 times.

Today, Malaysians can stream millions of local and international songs through playlists and listen to more than 20 live radio stations, podcasts or other localised content such as news, sports and traffic updates anytime, anywhere.

RAKU can be accessed on the web at raku.my or downloaded via the Apple App store and Google Play store.
