ARN and MBC tie up for UAE national day

Arabian Radio Network’s ( Al Khaleejiya 100.9 FM collaborated with Saudi Arabian station MBC FM in Saudi Arabia to celebrate UAE’s national day on December 2, reports Gulf Today.

MBC is an Arabic general entertainment channel and a part of the Middle East Broadcasting Centre.

ARN, which is the largest radio network in the Middle East, said the tie up was a reflection of good relations between people from the two nations.

Both channels linked up to share the same airwaves all day long on UAE’s 43’rd national day.

A team of presenters from both stations also aired a joint live programme called ‘Your Glory, Our Glory’ from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Listeners joined the celebrations through call-ins to share their messages and wishes throughout the day.

Ziad Hamza, Director of Audio and Music Office, MBC Group told Gulf Today that the joint collaboration between broadcast media in the UAE and Saudi Arabia was a natural decision due to the similarities in the overall media outlook and vision of the two nations.
