AIBs 2015 announce deadline for entries

July 22 is the deadline for entries to the AIBs 2015 – the 11th annual awards run by the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB).

The AIBs showcase the best in factual content across TV, radio and online in any language from all parts of the world.

The awards were established to reward programme makers in factual genres who produce inspiring content that stimulates audiences either at home or abroad.

The panel of judges includes independent and highly respected media professionals.

“The work that we have seen entered during the first decade of the AIBs has been exceptional,” says Simon Spanswick, CEO of the Association for International Broadcasting. “There’s been a diversity of reporting and storytelling that has proved the continuing strength and quality of journalism in countries around the world. We have been privileged to see remarkable stories brought to audiences on every

continent by the most outstanding programme makers of our age. We expect to see even more great examples of work from every continent as we enter the second decade of these important awards.”

The ‘AIBs 2015 Entry Booklet’ containing full details of all the awards as well as how to enter, is available to view and download from the AIBs microsite at http://theaibs.tv.

The radio categories include outstanding live journalism, investigative documentaries, creative features and compelling current affairs coverage.

Recognising that on-air talent is vital in creating a bond between audience and broadcaster, AIB is also looking for this year’s outstanding on-air radio and television personalities.

The gala awards ceremony takes place this year on November 4 in London.
