More speakers and exhibitors confirmed for DBS 2016

 

More speakers and exhibitors have come on board for the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur from February 29 to March 3.

The event, with the theme ‘Innovating Digital Connections’, is the 12th in the series of annual symposiums staged by the ABU.

It comprises a conference, a series of workshops and an exhibition of the latest products and services for broadcasters.

Over seventy speakers and industry experts will present at the conference and workshops addressing a wide range of topics.

A total of 46 exhibitors have now been confirmed to showcase their products and services at the exhibition.

The principal sponsor is WorldDAB and several other industry players have joined as major sponsors including: the Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission, EMC Corporation, MediaGeniX, Rohde & Schwarz, MediaGuru, the Korea Radio Promotion Association and Dolby.

Leading Asian broadcasters will be well represented. Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK, and the Korean national broadcaster, KBS, will both present on cutting-edge technologies and developments for the future.

In a new development this year, Dolby will present a series of special demonstrations and workshops on ‘Next Generation Audio & Video Experience for Broadcast & OTT’.

A highlight of the conference will be the Industry Debate on 3 March. Leading industry figures will look at ‘Digital Radio for the Future’ and discuss the challenges and opportunities.
