SRG stations support Nigerian mothers

Staff from Malaysia’s Star Radio Group showed their support to the global initiative to bring home 276 girls kidnapped from their school in Nigeria.

The campaign, called ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ encourages people across the world to show their support to the kidnapped girls’ mothers.

Islamist group Boko Haram had kidnapped the girls from their school in Northern Nigeria in April.

They are now demanding release of imprisoned militants in exchange for the schoolgirls.

“There is a need for us to put in the effort to create awareness and we hope to do our part to help in this campaign. Our prayers are with the missing girls and families,” said Kudsia Kahar, the chief operating officer of Star Radio Group.

“This is a simple initiative that we made in hope to bring the girls back to their families. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.” said Adibah Noor, who co-hosts SuriaFM’s Ceria Pagi with Halim Othman.

“We hope to share this campaign with our families, friends and listeners. This will help to spread the message across.” said Janice Yap who hosts Capital Breakfast.

Capital FM, 988 FM, Red FM and Suria FM are the four Star Radio Group stations in Malaysia.
