Registration opens for Radio City’s street cricket tournament

India’s Radio City has organised Season 3 of Gully Premier League, its month-long street cricket tournament.

Last season, more than 40,000 teams registered to play.

As well as the on-ground activity, the station has designed an Online Cricket League via a Facebook app.

Listeners can build their own online team & compete against others.

The tournament will be spread over four phases, with teams competing for the GPL trophy and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

Ashit Kukian, President & Chief Operating Officer of Radio City 91.1 FM said: “The first two seasons of ‘Gully Premier League’ have witnessed a phenomenal response. The third season of GPL will take the property a notch higher.”

“With the introduction of ‘Online Cricket’ this season, we plan to engage the listeners not just on-ground but on the digital platform too. Moreover, this season also provides a life-time opportunity for the winners to be professionally trained.”

Winners will also get a chance to experience professional cricket training by a well-known cricket personality.
