Two RTHK radio jocks are to attempt a Guiness World Record by riding through all 84 of Hong Kong’s metro (MTR) stations within nine hours.

Tim Littlechild and Chantel Shafie say they want to raise funds for Operation Santa Claus (OSC), the broadcaster’s annual christmas appeal.

The pair who present Something for the Weekend on RTHK Radio 3 will broadcast live during the record attempt on December 30.

This year, 18 non-profit organisations are set to benefit from the OSC appeal, run in conjunction with South China Morning Post.

Shafie told the paper that “Hong Kong people are very generous. A little bit of money that makes not much of a difference for you makes a big difference for those in need.”
