Radio Dhamaal Q2 revenues drop 44 percent

Radio Dhamaal was a major contributor to its parent company’s loss in the second quarter.

B.A.G. Films & Media Limited saw revenue fall nearly 10 percent to US$5.21 million (Rs 32.65 crore) compared to the same period last year, reports Indian Television.com.

On a quarter on quarter basis, revenue was flat.

The company reported a 34 per cent higher loss at US$690,000 (Rs 4.35 crore) for Q2-2014, compared to $520,000 (Rs -3.25 crore) for Q1-2014.

Radio Dhamaal saw year on year revenues plummet 44.4 percent to US$160,000 (Rs 1.01 crore) in the second quarter.

Income from its radio operations was also down 35 percent quarter on quarter.

Radio Dhamaal operates in 10 Indian towns and cities, while B.A.G. Films has also businesses in audio-visual production, film, leasing and television including the channels News 24 and E24.
