Jakarta station taps embassy for Justin Timberlake tickets

Indonesia’s Gen FM has tied up with the British Embassy in Jakarta to run a contest to win tickets to see Justin Timberlake in London.

Gen FM, which runs a mix of Top 40 Indonesian and international music, offered listeners the chance to go to the iTunes Festival, taking place in the UK capital.

Timberlake will be on stage on September 29 as part of 30 nights of free live music.

The station told Asia Radio Today the all-expenses paid trip was awarded to listener Nadia after a week-long promotion.

Gen FM operates in Jakarta and Surabaya and is owned by Mahaka Media, which also runs 101 Jak FM and several magazines and digital media outlets.
