Several Philippines radio presenters and journalists took part in a recent march through the streets of Cebu to mark the city’s Press Freedom Week.

The Philippine Star reports that newspaper, online, TV and radio professionals took part in the walk as part of a seven day campaign to highlight freedom of speech.

On Monday the Globe Cebu Media Excellence Awards also took place at the city’s Marriott Hotel.

Astra Zina Logarta from station dyHP won the Reporter of the Year for Radio award.

49 out of 113 entries made it to the list of final nominations.

Cebu Press Freedom week is now in its 14th year.
