Metro Music Digital, the second DAB station from Hong Kong’s Metro Broadcast Corporation, went live on Tuesday.
Several well-known Hong Kong personalities were invited the launch of the station, which airs on Channel 12.
Metro Music Digital promises a mix of Pop, Rock and RnB and that the DJs will be free to choose different styles of music and languages for their shows.
Metro, which also runs three terrestrial stations in the territory, won the digital radio licence in 2011.
It launched the DAB version of its popular terrestrial station Metro Finance last year.
Metro was founded in 1st July 1991 and is now owned the Hong Kong-listed Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited and Hutchison Whampoa Limited.
