Lite FM hires former Miss Malaysia

One of Malaysia’s best known radio names Yasmin Yusuff has returned to the airwaves.

Yussuf has joined national network Lite FM to host a new morning show, billed as the country’s first magazine breakfast show.

The former Miss Malaysia plans to interview some of Malaysia’s biggest celebrity names.

Air Asia’s CEO Tony Fernandes and actress Michelle Yeoh have been lined up to reveal the secrets to their success and valuable life lessons, according to the station’s website.

Yusuff, who was born in Wales, has more than 25 years radio and entertainment experience.

She was a presenter for many years with public broadcaster RTM4, recorded albums and acted in Malaysian TV dramas.

“We are glad to have Yasmin Yussuf on board,” said Aaron Pinto, Network Content Manager of Astro Radio.  “We believe that with her vast industry background, she will deliver the best radio-listening experience possible for Lite FM listeners.”

The show airs from 6am to 10am Monday to Friday.

Lite FM is one of nine FM stations and ten satellite radio services owned by Astro Radio, a subsidiary of the entertainment giant of the same name.
