This year’s Singapore Hit Music Awards were hosted by DJs from Y.E.S 93.3 FM, who wowed the audience with their opening performance.
DJs Lin Peifen, Xie Jiafa, Xiao Jiahui and Zhong Kunhua were the presenters at the the MediaCorp station’s event on Friday at Suntec Singapore.
More than 4500 fans turned up to attend the awards, which also featured performances by Malaysian singer Eric Moo, Taiwanese singer Sam Lee and big winners of the night – Stefanie Sun and Aaron Yan.
Sun became the first artiste to win the Most Popular award five times, when she picked up the coveted Most Popular Female Artiste Award.
She led the winners list with three more wins including Best Female Vocalist, Best Album and the Y.E.S. 93.3FM Pick Of The Pops Most Popular Hit Award for her song, Angel’s Fingerprints.
The youngest member of Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit, Aaron Yan was also one of the big winners.
He won three awards, including Most Popular Male Artiste, Versatile Artiste, and the Listeners’ Choice: OSIM Favourite Album Cover Award.
