‘Uncensored’: Big FM’s new show on taboos

Indian network 92.7 Big FM has introduced a new show called 'Uncensored with MJ Anirudh' to address topics that are considered a taboo in the society.

The show will air 10 pm to 12 am from Monday to Friday on the network’s Mumbai station.

MJ Anirudh urges people to talk about and debate topics like homosexuality, rape, casting couch, one-night-stands and many others on which they often abstain from sharing their views.

A live poll on social media introduces the 'Topic of the Day' in the afternoon, a day prior to when the radio programme airs.

A celebrity segment called, 'Apke Sitare Kya Kehte Hain' features prominent Bollywood personalities speaking about topics that they are not usually vocal about.

A spokesperson from the station says: “How often do we hear people actually talk about kids receiving sex education, pornography, live-in relationships and other important topics, on such a mass scale. We believe in empowering our listeners and have decided to walk the talk with Uncensored. The show will provide a platform for listeners to debate on topics that are usually considered inappropriate, but are important to be spoken about in the society. Through this new offering we aim to reach a larger set of audience.”
