Two key Radio Mirchi executives step up

India’s Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL) owned Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM announced significant changes in its senior management team.

According to the 32-station network, as a part of its strategy for rapid growth, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Hitesh Sharma has been promoted to Executive President.

He joined Radio Mirchi in 2003 and has around 23 years of experience in various industries, with a Masters degree in Management.

Sharma will now look after Phase-III expansion program of the company along with other strategic growth areas.

In addition, Mahesh Shetty has been elevated to the post of COO to after the current radio business.

Shetty has 19 years of media and FMCG experience and has been with Radio Mirchi since 2006.

Taking about his new role, Hitesh Sharma, Executive President, said: “We expect the implementation of Phase III to happen soon. I am glad that the company sees the fit in me to take Radio Mirchi to newer markets.”

Prashant Panday, MD and CEO, ENIL said: “This elevation comes at a time when we are gearing up for a rapid growth with the announcement of Phase III. We want to be well equipped to make the right decisions.”
