Two radio stations in Sydney, Australia are both running the same contest on air at the same time, reports radiotoday.com.au.

The classic game ‘Beat the Bomb’, where listeners have to ‘stop’ the clock before the so-called “bomb” goes off while the cash snowballs, is running on Nova 96.6 and KIIS 106.5.

If the “bomb” explodes before fans stop it, they walk away with nothing.

KIIS is making the game a highlight of the city’s number one FM morning show with Kyle & Jackie O.

One hour later, the same game is running on Nova with Fitzy and Wippa.

Apart from the confusion among listeners about which brand the contest belongs to, radiotoday.com.au reports that some listeners wonder whether the contests are appropriate at all, given Australia’s raised terrorism threat (to the highest level) in recent weeks.
