The annual India Radio Forum has announced ‘The New Wave’ as its theme for this year’s event.

The one-day conference will be held along with the Excellence in Radio Awards (ERA) on May 31 at Gurugram.

The event will bring together eminent radio personalities to lay the path forward and discuss new developments, strategies and the impact that the industry has had on the country and its people.

Speaking about the event, Rajika Mittra, Country Head and Strategic Partnerships for India for the India Radio Forum, said: “We have witnessed the successful expansion of the radio industry over the last few years, which has resulted in the medium reaching out to all corners and different markets of the country. This is the reason why the theme of ‘New Wave’ fits seamlessly in what we stand for and are trying to achieve. Radio has stood strong over the years, and it is important for all stakeholders to embrace new frontiers that will lead to the industry thriving in this evolving media landscape.”

Commenting on this, Shankar Balakrishnan, General Manager of RCS India said: “We look forward to yet another year that is promising and relevant across platforms, making this year’s awards all the more exciting. The Forum seeks to inspire, motivate, and arm you with the next bold steps to keep afloat and thrive in a whirlpool of change. With industry leaders and veterans sharing their thoughts at the event, it will be an event to remember. Over previous editions, these awards have set the benchmark in lauding the efforts of the experts in the radio industry, acknowledging their outstanding innovations and creation of content.
