Taiwan’s IC FM 97.5 launches mobile apps

Taiwanese station IC FM 97.5 recently revamped its website, launching mobile radio broadcasting applications which allows listeners to subscribe to the programmes on demand.

The sound of IC was redesigned at the end of April and a mobile audio website was launched.

According to Wang Zhongyong, Vice President of IC Marketing Department, the website interface has been made simpler and easier to use than the old version.

In the past, the station used to broadcast in a linear schedule and listeners could only listen to programs according to the program schedule.

After the revision, on-demand broadcasts allow listeners to listen during their free time without being restricted by the schedule.

The new website has also added a new ‘Exploration’ function, which organises programmes according to different themes.

When the old and new websites are integrated, there will be a transition period for data transfer and sorting. The original website had about 20,000 items of information, and in the new website only about 3,000 copies have been transferred so far.
