Radio Pakistan marked the tenth edition of #WorldRadioDay with special day-long programming.

Its News and Current Affairs Channel broadcast a special transmission from 7.10am to 11 p.m featuring talk shows, discussions, features, special reports and impressions of people from different walks of life about the day.

The channel also arranged two special shows, in which veteran broadcasters shared experiences of their professional life. 

Speaking during the program, Director General, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Ambreen Jan said that radio provides the most credible and authentic information to its listeners and especially during natural disasters and calamities, which has been appreciated by all.

She said Radio Pakistan covers more than 60 percent population in the country and those areas which are not connected digitally.

Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Lahore aired a special discussion on “Jadid Dunya Kay Radio Taqazay“.

Radio Pakistan Islamabad aired a seminar on “Digital Radio Asar-e-Hazir Ki Zarurat” and a talk show on the topic “Awaz ki Duneya“.

Radio Pakistan's FM 101 network and Dhanak Channel FM 94 also aired special programmes.
