Around 130 delegates have already registered for the 19th WorldDMB General Assembly next month.
Organisers say this year’s event – in Amsterdam on November 5 and 6 – will be the largest in recent years, with attendees from over 70 companies across Europe, Asia Pacific and Gulf Arab states.
Just confirmed: The UK’s media regulator Ofcom will demonstrate the successfully tested new technologies which enable DAB/DAB+ radio broadcasting to be transmitted in small areas at low cost.
A whole new tier of small-scale radio stations could be launched on DAB digital radio using this new system, says Ofcom.
The solution would cost just US$2,153 per year to run and would enable many community radio operators to make the leap to digital, officials say.
