Singapore set for sports radio

A new Singapore-based internet radio station is to air kick-by-kick coverage of many English premier league games.

Red Card Sports Radio, which will go on air on August 11, has signed a live commentary deal with the UK radio station talkSPORT.

The London-based radio network holds worldwide audio rights to all Barclays Premier League games.

As well as airing talkSPORT’s live match commentary in English, Mandarin and Malay, the station will also broadcast FA Cup and Capital One Cup radio commentaries for the next three seasons (2013/14 – 2015/16).

The new internet radio station will be available on multiple platforms including desktops, tablets and smartphones.

The Red Card Sports Radio app for iOS and Android phones will be available for download from the App Store and Google Play.

“Red Card is proud to usher in a new era of sports media in Singapore. The station will allow fans to listen to live commentary of Barclays Premier League matches for free” said R. Sasikumar, Managing Director of Red Card, a sports marketing agency based in the city state.
