Singapore: Kiss 92 claims English top spot

Kiss 92 Singapore claims to be the number one English station following the release of the latest Nielsen Radio Diary Survey to stations.

The Straits Times reports that Kiss beat MediaCorp stations Class 95 and Gold 90.5FM, when measured by audience share and time spent listening.

Kiss 92 won one of Singapore’s two remaining FM licences in 2011, promising to target female listeners.

Since its launch in September 2012, the station has been quick to grab audience share in a market dominated by MediaCorp, which runs 13 FM stations in several languages.

Kiss also saw its cumulative listenership rise nearly 16 percent to 485,000, reports The Straits Times.

Nielsen’s bi-annual research is distributed to participating stations but not publicly.

Asia Radio Today is unable to independently verify the figures.
