Red FM’s stand-up comedy show in Mumbai

India’s 93.5 Red FM presented a show by comedian Zakir Khan on Friday in Mumbai as a part of its nine-city stand-up comedy tour.

The tour, organised by the network’s live entertainment vertical – Red LIVE, aims to celebrate humor and the growing popularity of stand-up comedy as a source of entertainment.

Khan is an Indian stand-up comedian, writer and presenter who rose to popularity in 2012 after winning Comedy Central’s India’s Best Stand-Up Comedian competition.

He has also been a part of a news comedy show ‘On Air with AIB’.

Commenting on the association, Nisha Narayanan, COO, 93.5 Red FM says: “These days stand-up comedy is gaining popularity across the country. Zakir Khan is a fast emerging successful artist in the field of stand-up comedy and with this initiative, we aim to grow Red LIVE as a larger platform for entertainment and performing artists that go beyond music.”
