Red FM, Radio City and Radio Mirchi have dominated at the Indian Excellence in Radio Awards (ERA) 2015.

The winners were announced at the end of India Radio Forum 2015 in New Delhi on Friday.

Red FM topped the winners list with 10 awards including for Best Breakfast Show (Hindi) for its Delhi station, Best Community Service, Best Station and Best Media Campaign.

Red’s sister network Suryan grabbed three awards taking the group’s total to 13.

Music Broadcast Private Limited’s Radio City and Entertainment Network India Limited’s Radio Mirchi shared the second spot with seven awards each.

Radio City’s wins included RJ of the Year (Hindi) for its Delhi station’s breakfast host RJ Ginnie, Best Breakfast Programme (Telugu), Best Radio Programme (Kannada) and Excellence in New Media Initiative.

Radio Mirchi’s RJ Naved was lauded for Best Radio Programme (Non-Breakfast – Hindi) for hosting the evening drive in Delhi and Best Radio Sparkler for a prank call feature called Mirchi Murga.

The station also scooped awards for it Bengali, Gujarati and Kannada programming.

Reliance Broadcast’s BIG FM won three awards including prizes for RJ of the Year (Hindi – Non-Metro Station) and Best Interactive Idea – both of them for its retro show ‘Suhana Safar with Annu Kapoor’

Regional player Mango – based in Kerala – picked up two awards including RJ of the Year (Malayalam) for RJ Oscar.

Radio Mantra and My FM also won two awards each.
