Red FM salutes Bollywood’s best film dialogues

93.5 Red FM has partnered the Film and TV Producers Guild of India for the trade body’s 2013 awards, which will air on Indian TV on February 2.

This year’s Renault STAR Guild Awards includes a category created by the station, tying-in with its famous strapline.

The ‘Bajaate Raho Dialogue of the Year;, 2013 saw listeners vote on five shortlisted film dialogues.

The phrase has a double meaning, one of which is loosely translated as ‘to give someone a hard time’.

The shortlist included R Rajkumar, Raanjhanaa, Chennai Express, Ramleela and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

RED FM listeners picked a moment from Raanjhanaa as winner and one fan won a chance to be a guest at the awards.

Nisha Narayanan, COO of RED FM said: “The award was for the best, iconic and most popular dialogue of the year which has huge mass appeal and popularity. Quite a few dialogues were shortlisted which have a high recall and are quirky, fun and completely in sync with our brand personality. With 38 million listeners our network reaches to, the response in the voting phase has been fantastic.”

Mr. Rajat Uppal, General Manager (Marketing), RED FM on this association added: “we looked out for a dialogue which was impactful and had created an immediate connect with the youth of India. There were some excellent dialogues from big blockbusters of the year which were nominated, but the one from Ranjhanaa definitely proved to the most popular one.”

Renault Star Guild Awards 2014 will be telecast on February 2 on STAR Plus, Movies OK and STAR Utsav.
