India’s 93.5 Red FM organized a friendly cricket match with IPL team SunRisers Hyderabad on Wednesday in Hyderabad.

The station is also the sponsor for the team for this season of IPL 20/20 cricket tournament.

Well-known players including Shikhar Dhawan, Trent Boult, Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma participated in the friendly match with Red XI.

The Red squad, which also included trade partners, key clients and key journalists, won the toss and elected to field.

Sunrisers Hyderabad headed by Ravi Bopara made 118 runs with Dhawan hitting some magnificent sixes.

Red XI managed to score 45 runs on the score board with captain Alok Saxsena scoring the highest runs.

The station also ran an on-air contest called ‘Slogan for SunRisers, Hyderabad’ and four winning listeners were given a chance to be a part of the station’s team.

 Speaking about the match, Rajat Uppal, National Marketing Head, RED FM said: “We have had the most exciting season of IPL so far. During the season we organized a number of on- ground activities to engage with our listeners and bring the cricketers closer to their fans. We hope that the winners of the contest as well as our partners had a good time with the SRH players.”
