RAM Week 3: Big FM catches up with Radio City

According to data sourced from RAM subscribers in India in Week 3 from January 11 to 17, there is slight movement in numbers, though the leaders in all four markets remain unchanged.

In Mumbai, Big FM has finally caught up with Radio City and both stations are tied at the top spot with a market share of 18.6 percent.

While for City, it was a loss of 0.5 percent from last week’s 19.1 percent, Big FM lost 0.3 percent from last week, but managed to score the highest Time Spent Listening (TSL) of 6.16.

Mirchi was third with 14 percent followed closely by Fever with 13 percent share.

In Delhi, Fever continued to be on top with 19.3 percent share.

Mirchi took the second spot with 13.8 percent share, BiG FM was third with 12.5 percent, and Radio City was fourth with 12.1 percent.

In Bangalore, both the top two stations Radio City and Big FM gained a little market share but maintained their positions.

While City maintained its top spot with 23.9 percent share, a rise of 1.4 percent from last week, Big FM continued to gain with 22.8 percent share – up by 1.2 percent from last week.

Radio Mirchi remained third with 16.4 percent – a drop of 1.3 percent from last week and local station Radio Indigo lost 0.7 percent to take the last spot with a share of 1.4 percent.

In Kolkata, Mirchi continued to consolidate its top position with 21.1 percent share – a rise of 0.3 percent from last week.

Big FM showed 16.2 percent share – a dip of 0.2 percent, but held on to the second position and the highest TSL score of 5.04.

Oye FM, Radio One and local station Aamar FM were third, fourth and fifth respectively.
