Radio to lead MediaCorp Schools X Country Run

Singapore’s largest broadcaster MediaCorp is planning its first ‘Battle of the Schools X Country Run’ for participants from secondary schools.

Set to take place at 4 pm on September 6, the race will pass through the historic MacRitchie Reservoir – the oldest reservoir in Singapore.

The run will feature two categories.

Students from secondary schools can register for free in the ‘Student Category’ for a 3.2 km race through their schools.

Registration fee for the 7.35 km long ‘Open Category’ is priced $33.6 (S$42) and participants will be provided with their secondary school’s PE attire.

The male and female winners of the categories will receive $399 (S$500) cash prize each.

A Grand Prize of $798 (S$1,000) will also be awarded to the school with the shortest average time for both categories.

All participants will also receive a goodie bag that includes a Finishers’ Tee and a Race Bib with timing chip.
