Bangladeshi singer Fuad Al Muqtadir has signed on as a judge for the Airtel-Radio Foorti Young Star of The Month.

The talent hunt is back for a second season, which began last week.

Fuad, a renowned composer and producer, will help decide this year’s winners along with listener votes by SMS.

The first season of Young Star of the Month saw more than 2,500 musical entries.

This year’s contest will see two winners will be picked each month and offered a chance to re-record their songs at Fuad’s studio.

Radio Foorti is planning to release an album of the winning artists.

The station launched in September 2006 and serves eight cities including Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and Khulna.
