Over nine million votes have reportedly been cast after three weeks of voting for the 4th Yahoo! Celebrity Awards honouring Filipino celebrities from radio, music, films and television.
The awards, with the tagline’ Powered by You’, allow fans to choose and vote for their favourites across categories.
90.7 Love Radio, 91.5 Big Radio, Barangay LS 97.1, MOR 101.9 and Energy FM 106 are in the running for the award for the best ‘FM Radio Station’.
Nominees for the best ‘Male DJ’ include Chico Garcia of RX 93.1, Chris Tsuper of Love Radio 90.7, Mr. Fu of Energy FM 106.7, Papa Jack of Love Radio 90.7)and Sam YG, Slick Rick and Tony Toni of Magic 89.9.
Delamar of RX 93.1, DJ Chacha of MOR 101.9, DJ Megan of 93.9 iFM, Nicole Hyala of Love Radio 90.7)and Sam Oh Magic 89.9)have been nominated for best ‘Female DJ’.
Thrilled by voters’ response, Mike Constantino, Country Sales Director, Yahoo! Philippines, told Manila Standard Today: “We are so happy that Filipino fans are very passionate about their celebrities and turn to Yahoo as their source for celebrity news.”
