Indian network Radio City’s web platform PlanetRadiocity.com is all set to welcome 2017 with a tight slap to all those in Bollywood who bored the audience in 2016.

The station is back with the sixth edition of its annual ‘Slappies’ awards to recognise and felicitates the ‘Best of the Worst’ in Bollywood last year.

The tagline for this year’s awards is ‘Bore Kiya Toh… Rakh ke De’ (If it bored you, slap it).

The awards will roll out in two phases – the nominations and the final voting. 

Listeners can vote for those who they think are most deserving of ‘Slaps’ from nominations across 10 categories.

This year’s categories include Sardard Movie of the Year (Headache movie of the Year), Actor of the Year, Actress of the Year, Song of the Year, Dialogue of the Year, Debut of the Year, Supporting Actor of the Year, Lifetime Achievement for Worst Song, Director of the Year, Slappies Sequel/ Franchise of the Year.

Top 5 entries across each category make it to the final list, which will be featured on the ‘Slappies’ microsite, for listeners to vote.

The winners will be awarded at a grand award night in Mumbai on January 27.
