Radio City enters record books with non-stop prayers

The Nagpur station of India’s 20-station network Radio City 91.1 FM entered the ‘Limca Book of Records’ with a 10-day Non Stop Ganpati Vandana.

The activity to worship the Hindu god Ganesha – also known as Ganpati – during the annual festival dedicated to him,  began on September 17.

It set a record for continuing over 240 hrs of with more than 3000 participants across all age groups.

Each participant chanted the shloka  ‘Vakratund Mahakaya’ at least five times and they were all handed a certificate of participation as an acknowledgement for their contribution.
