Talk radio and podcast app Stitcher is now a part of online music streaming service Deezer.

Stitcher was launched seven years ago and currently carries over 35,000 shows from 40 countries to around one million active users.

The app, which has been downloaded by 13 million listeners and integrated in more than 50 car models, will continue to be supported on iOS and Android.

With 16 million monthly users in over 180 different countries, Deezer offers the largest music streaming catalogue in the world.

It is buying Stitcher at a time when it is considering a move into the US.

At present, Deezer is available in most countries except America.

In a statement on its blog, Stitcher said that it will eventually provide even better listening experiences across the globe, combining music and talk on Deezer.
