PIA, Radyo Pilipinas launch radio program

The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) MIMAROPA, in partnership with Radyo Pilipinas-Palawan, launched a new radio program  called “Arangkada MIMAROPA!” on January 21, aimed at bringing timely government information closer to communities across the region.

Arangkada MIMAROPA! is a one-hour radio program that is simultaneously broadcast on air and livestreamed through the official Facebook pages of PIA MIMAROPA and Radyo Pilipinas-Palawan every Wednesday. The program is also shared by provincial information offices of PIA MIMAROPA to widen its reach.

The show is hosted by Dennis Nebrejo of PIA Marinduque and Goody Sarsagat of Radyo Pilipinas Palawan.

Its pilot episode on January 21 featured Jail Officer 3 Joefrie Anglo, information officer of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) MIMAROPA, who outlined the bureau’s key accomplishments in 2025 and discussed priority programs and initiatives lined up for 2026.

PIA officials said the program is intended to serve as a platform for government agencies to directly communicate their projects, services, and accomplishments, while promoting transparency and public engagement.

PIA MIMAROPA Regional Director Jemin Bonafe-Guillermo hopes to strengthen information dissemination and encourage greater participation of communities in regional development efforts.

“We are finally on the right track in providing accurate information to the public, covering not only the province but the entire MIMAROPA. We will continue to deliver news and information about government programs,” she said.
