MY FM India Q1 revenues down a notch

India’s 17-station network 94.3 MY FM saw Q1 2015 revenues fall 3 percent, compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

The network, which broadcasts across 7 states and is owned by DB Corp, achieved operating revenues for Q1 2015 of Rs 20.73 crore against Rs 21.37 crore in Q4 2014.

But this is more than 20 percent higher on a year-on-year basis than the Rs 17.16 crore achieved in Q1 2014.

The wider group – DB Corp – saw a 7.9 percent increase in total revenues to 498.7 crores.

This figure was up 9.6 percent year-on-year.

Overall advertising revenues were up 9.7 percent to Rs 373 crores.

Group EBITA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes and Amotization Expenses) grew 27.9 percent quarter on quarter to Rs 144. 1 crores.

As well as radio – which is a small part of its overall business – DB Corp Limited is home to flagship newspapers Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Dainik Divya Marathi and Saurashtra Samachar.

Commenting on the results, DB Corp MD Sudhir Agarwal said: “We have maintained focus and emphasis on DBCL’s non-print segments spanning our digital and radio initiatives. Both these segments hold tremendous potential to capitalise on over the next few years.”
